Journal: The Great Revolution of 1688 By Belal Abdel
The Great Revolution of 1688 was one of the greatest events in the history of mankind. It all started when King James II dressed up like a commoner and took Englands Great Seal of England. He boarded a boat and threw the seal into the ocean. The King and his crew were captured by a fisherman. The people regarded this year as the year of miracles. The Great Revolution helped set up a democracy in many ways. It made people think about how much power the monarchy had, and it helped form a cabinet and it also helped form a parliament democracy. It was because of this that there was an English Bill of Rights. This Revolution started and spring and was the only bloodless Revolution in history. The Prince of Orange sent an army to invade England, and this invasion has been known as the last successful invasion of England in history.
